Aircraft Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield

An aircraft ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an official announcement which verified that all passengers were secure.

"The plane landed based on established safety measures and everyone onboard, including Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer stated in a public statement.

He was traveling back from a short visit to the city of Brussels at the time.

This event isn't the first time that a American defense plane ferrying a high-ranking official has experienced technical problems.

Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was required to return to Washington DC after experiencing a mechanical problem.
