Barça Set to Play Historic Game at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday
Barça revealed their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in domestic competition 30 months since relocating so building work could begin.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees can be present based on approved permits. After final construction, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.
Preparatory Events
Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch earlier this month. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side on 9 December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
