International Committee of the Red Cross Accompanies Militant Group in Search for Bodies of Captives in Gaza

A Red Cross official confirmed that its representatives joined Hamas officials into areas of Gaza currently controlled by IDF control to support the hunt for the remains of individuals held captive.

Truce Agreements and Hostage Remains Handover

As part of the truce negotiated by the United States, which took effect on 10 October, Hamas is obligated to return the bodies of all Israeli hostages as soon as possible. In exchange, the Israeli government has consented to hand over 15 Palestinian bodies for every Israeli body returned.
