The Initial Xbox Game Pass Additions of 2026 Reveal Xbox Is Still Fighting.

Everywhere you go, enthusiasts continue to ring the knell for Microsoft's gaming division. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a platform few have heard of. Platform-specific outlets began covering on PS5 topics as a new development. 2025 was an era of significant turmoil for the tech giant's gaming arm. However, judging purely by the titles headed to the service in 2026, it's evident that the green gaming company still intends to draw people in with quality releases on its premier subscription.

The Available Now Titles

The duo of games currently accessible at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's truly noteworthy.

Major Titles on the Horizon

Come mid-January, the platform will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that refreshes conventional open-world tropes with an intergalactic heist adventure. Another big get is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "an ideal blend of terror and combat."

Intriguing Niche Additions

Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that is incredibly fun, becomes available next week — and you should try it even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

This UK-developed survival title from last year may draw you in remarkably quickly.

Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by Rebellion Developments, is another one to watch. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Well-Rounded Collection

In summary, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, nor are they tentpole Microsoft studios games that are the sole reason for the service in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are exceptionally strong. The lineup provides a solid mix of older titles you may have skipped and relatively recent releases that failed to receive the spotlight they were due initially — transforming them into ideal prospects to experience a revival on Game Pass.

Hope you're ready to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
